Body: the top, back, and sides show some easily noticeable scratches, scuff marks, dings, and dents, plus there is an obvious chip in the wood on the front corner of the lower bout; the pickguard has some noticeable scratches on it from typical use

Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock: the fretboard looks virtually flawless; there are some small dings and indentations that can be seen along the back of the neck as well as some scratches in the lacquer; the headstock has some light scuff marks and scratches on the front back and sides, but most noticeable around the edges of the front facing

Action and Playability: the action is about medium-low, plus the neck is straight and the truss rod functions properly

Frets: moderate wear, with some small grooves starting to form in the 1st to 7th frets, however there is no fret out at this time

Hardware: it is possible that the tuners may not be original, although the tuner buttons are gold; the finish on the tuner buttons, bridge, and stopbar is a little worn off

Electronics: it is possible that these are not the original pickups on this guitar, however both of them as well as all the controls work properly

Includes: electric guitar (case and gig bag are not included)

The Korina Explorer was light years ahead of its time when it was first introduced in 1958. With its angular, asymmetrical body and pointed headstock, the Explorer was unlike any guitar available. In fact, the Explorer was such a radical departure that only around 100 of the famed instruments were produced at the legendary Kalamazoo factory. What few have survived are now highly prized collectibles that sell for half a million dollars or more. With this model you see listed, Epiphone brought back the one-of-a-kind legend in all its original glory made from beautiful Korina. The Explorer is truly a beast among beasts in the guitar world!
