Band Rehearsal Space

For over 16 years we have rented rehearsal studios to professional musicians and bands all over. When you rent from Metro Sound & Music you get more than a rehearsal space, you get an amp and guitar repair shop, a safe and secure loading dock with 24-hour video surveillance, an on-site Pro Tools equipped recording studio and a full retail store. All our tenants receive an additional 10% discount on all store bought accessories. Our facilities offer a full back line of rental gear from Hammond B3's, Marshall half stacks, to a ton of vintage Fender tweed amplifiers. Our facility is designed to make rehearsal a painless and inspiring process.

We offer many leasing possibilities here at Metro Sound & Music. Our facility encompasses nearly half a city block and has nearly 40,000 square feet of space. We offer anything from a deluxe recording studio with full PA and band back line on an hourly basis, to month to month for touring groups, a 3 month lease for new and upstart bands, a 6 month lease for artists who need a place to write an album, and a yearly lease for acts who prefer a long term fixed base headquarters. Call us Tuesday - Saturday at (804)643-7125 for more information.

We have since moved across the street to our present 40,000 square foot facility.

We've come a long way from when this photograph was taken, but we have never forgotten our humble roots. Come see for yourself why Metro Sound is rated as "Richmond's Best Music Store" by Richmond Magazine! We simply have it all here for the true musician!

We are putting our finishing touches on our our own art/performance gallery next door - Metro Space Gallery. This massive space will feature regional and local artists, a stage for showcasing acoustic musicians, and also help promote independent film makers.
Our first exhibition featured artists from VCU's "Commonwealth Bricoluers" Master of Fine Arts program from May 4th - 14th, 2007. If you would like more details on how you might be able to participate in this unique venture, please get on our email list or call us for more information. (see our current news page for more information).

We look forward to meeting you!
